The Norfolk Senior High Counseling Center serves students in grades 10-12. The developmental guidance program promotes school success through a focus on academic achievement, career and personal/social development. School counselors work in their areas of specialization with multi-grade level assignments. School counselors work with all students, school staff, families and members of the community as an integral part of the education program.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To systematically provide guidance and counseling service to all students in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development so they may reach their full potentials as productive citizens in a changing society.

WHO ARE SCHOOL COUNSELORS?
Professionals with:
• Masters Degrees in School Counseling
• Nebraska Teaching Certificate
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience
WHAT DO PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELORS DO?
• Direct Comprehensive School Counseling as defined by the Nebraska/American School Counselor Association National Model
• Teach, monitor and plan interventions for increased achievement of all students K-12.
• Provide leadership to accomplish the district’s mission and school improvement plans.
• Report and interpret student results in achievement, attendance and behavior.
