The Norfolk Public School District is committed to the development of an exemplary curriculum that sets high expectations for teachers and results in meaningful student learning. The purpose of the curriculum is to have a system that will insure that students from teacher to teacher and school to school learn the same core of significant learning’s at a particular instructional level. Curricula objectives are based on aligned with the student 12th grade graduation goal expectations set by the district strategic plan, are consistently delivered at the classroom level and are regularly assessed and evaluated. The overriding goal of the curriculum is to strike a balance between a firm foundation in basic skills and preparing students to with the sills and knowledge to meet the challenges of a complex, global society. |
