Advances in computer technology have led to an abundance of software that provides interactive, engaging and motivating ways to teach IEP targeted speech and language skills. The Gateway compatible computer software purchased with this grant will be used as a reinforcement tool. Literacy development, practice and instruction in vocabulary building, syntax, concept development and receptive and expressive language skills will be addressed. Drill and practice for improving fluency and articulation as well as developing communication boards and activities for nonverbal students will be enhanced with the new software.
