“THE WHOLE WORLD IN THEIR HANDS” – STUDENTS USING DATA COLLECTION DEVICES TO EHANCE SCIENCE UNDERSTANDING, THE FREEDOM TO INQUIRE AND THE TECHNOLOGY TO EXCEL!

Norfolk Junior High School
Deb Holland/Patti Hagedorn/Jane Brockman

Ninth grade science students are using upgraded technology to collect data while performing scientific experiments as a result of the funding of this grant.  Probeware tools allow the students to develop better analytical skills, be more organized in collecting useful information and gather data at a much quicker pace.  More time can then be devoted to discussing results and performing analytical tasks.  Students are able to perform many new experiments with measurements not previously obtainable in the classroom.
