Children who attend the Early Childhood Center need to be provided with at least one snack that meets USDA guidelines, are part of the curriculum, and provide opportunities for learning. Snack time will be connected to the day’s learning objectives. Healthy snacks provided by this project will give students increased opportunities experience healthy food choices, categorize foods into different groups, label and describe different types of food and recognize environmental print in picture, letter and word form.
