This project is designed to engage students in a realistic experience of traveling through Nebraska in the 1840’s and 50’s. Through an application process approximately fifty students will be selected to visit the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument in Kearney. Upon their return the ninth graders will write a short story drawing from classroom experience and their visit to the interactive displays at the museum. Funding provided will pay for admission to the museum.
