NORFOLK, NEBRASKA

Notice -- Notice of the special meeting was published in the Norfolk Daily News on Tuesday, January 8, 2007.  Notices were posted at the Norfolk Public Library, Norfolk City Council Chambers, Norfolk Post Office, and the two doors of the Norfolk Public Schools Administration Office announcing that the meeting time had been changed to 6:00 p.m.

 6:00 Session -- The Board of Education met on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. for a special meeting (executive session) at the Norfolk Public Schools Administrative (Board Room).  Members present included Brad Krivohlavek, Jane McDaniel, Julee Pfeil, Paul Cazabon, and Clark Froehlich.  Absent:  Alfredo Ramirez.  Also present were Marcia Herring and Megan Boldt of the Nebraska School Boards Association Superintendent Search representatives.

Legal Meeting – Jane McDaniel, President, called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. and declared a legal meeting of the Board of Education.

Executive Session – It was moved by Clark Froehlich, seconded by Brad Krivohlavek, to move into executive session for the purpose of discussion of personnel. 

Superintendent Candidates – The board discussed information related to the superintendent candidates and interview process. 

End Executive Session – At 9:35 p.m. it was moved by Clark Froehlich, seconded by Brad Krivohlavek, to adjourn the executive session and move back to regular session.

Adjournment – President McDaniel declared the meeting adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
