Notice -- Notice of the special meeting was published in the Norfolk Daily News on Monday, January 8, 2007.
4:00 Session -- The Board of Education met on Monday, January 15, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. for a special meeting at the Norfolk Public Schools Administration Office (Board Room). Members present included Brad Krivohlavek, Jane McDaniel, Alfredo Ramirez, Julee Pfeil, Paul Cazabon, and Clark Froehlich. Absent: None. Also present were Steve Joel, Superintendent of the Grand Island Public Schools and workshop presenter.
Legal Meeting – Jane McDaniel, President, called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. and declared a legal meeting of the Board of Education.
Open Meetings Act – President McDaniel announced that a complete copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted on the East wall in the Board Room of the Administration Office, 512 Philip Avenue.
Operating Principle Workshop – Steve Joel lead the discussion regarding the development of operating principles for our district. A follow-up workshop was set for February 10, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. -12:00 noon at the Norfolk Public Schools Administration Office, 512 Philip Avenue, Norfolk, Nebraska.
Adjournment – President McDaniel declared the meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
